About Me

My online journey began when I was given a computer in my bedroom with no safeguards at the ripe age of 9 years. I entered the online world when AIM chatrooms, chain emails, and myspace were popular. While the internet surely has transformed since the days when I was first welcomed by it, it's safe to say it's still a dangerous place for children to be without boundaries. 

As a homeschooling mom of 4 kids who love playing games online, and using their devices to keep in touch with cousins on the other side of the country, I can't help but feel grateful for modern technology and the good it brings to people on a daily basis, all over the world. 

Over 4 years ago, I started working for a social platform, and as a Trust & Safety (aka online safety) professional, I've worked diligently to keep people safe from the harms that can come from being online. As you can imagine, I've seen a lot. I believe that our children are vulnerable and there is a whole world out there that they need to be protected from. That said, my goal is to empower you with the knowledge & tools necessary to keep your children safe, not cause you any additional anxiety!

This is a safe space for  parents who need help creating healthy boundaries for their kids but don't have the time to research every game, social platform, tv show, or movie that their child wants access to.
